Risk Taking is a something that all teacher need to do. Matthew has a great video that explores the idea of risk taking and differently made me think more about the risks I will need to take in my future teaching career.
Risk taking through both my studies and my career, I believe will help me to become a better teacher. Whilst I am a little apprehensive at time to explore areas that I am not familiar with, I look forward to challenging myself and discovering different areas and technique’s that will benefit me in my future.

In regards to the article that Scott Maunder posted on The 3x’s by Idit Harel. I agree with Scott that the this article is rather thought provoking, the (three Xs: eXploring, eXpressing and eXchanging) are helping both current and future teachers to consider using digital media and the ever improving information technologies in the classroom.

I watch the some video as Narelle Stacey and agreed with her reflection on the video on ipods in the classroom . I feel that by using new technologies in the classroom enables students to show off there work and enables a higher level of learning. Please look at my static page on Ipods in the Classroom for my review on some readings and 2 short video’s.

Through this cource i have taken many different challenges, one in particular was to create an online learning program through LAMS (LAMS Tutorial). This assignment asked me to work in pairs with Lauren Roberts to create a LAMS program. We created our program for a stage 2 class and made our focus the Australian Koala. We believe that by creating such a online program will help visual learners, provide a different environment for all students, encougage creativity and negotiation skills among many other benificial skills. I enjoyed creating my LAMS task and hope to use this program in the future.

Video’s can be a great tool to communicate. Students can creatively put together a variety of different tasks and portray what they have learnt, this can be seen in a video I found when researching. Here have a look VIDEO , I believe that this video shows how teacher’s can use technology and complete a maths lesson. I hope to be able to integrate a variety of KLA’S and computer education in my future teaching.
Whilst studying Current Issues and Applications in Computing, Lauren Roberts and I created a video for an assignment and posted it on TeacherTube. Have a look teachertubevideo. I believe that through creating this video, I learnt many new skills (learning how to make the video and associated software.), I believe that this will help me in my future.

Creating new skills in the area of computing technologies is very important. By studying and using educational technologies through out my university studies, I hope to gain many new skill that will enable me to become a better teacher. By using new technologies in the classroom for e-mail, Web sites, video editing, and videoconferencing, they are generating opportunities for children to write, read, and communicate on meaningful curricular content with local and global school peers around the world.
I believe that by engaging students in interactive tasks (both online and offline) will help develop their skills in a hight technological work but indirectly will help me develop my skills, where hopefully i will challenge myself and take risk in the work of computer technologies.
